Google announced on October 27th that users will now be able to submit request to remove images of minors from Google search results.
The request can be made by anyone under age 18, their parent or a guardian by filling out a form to report the image. They can use image URLs, search query terms that lead to the image, and links for search pages that contain the image. If the removal request meets Google’s requirements, the image will be taken down.
Google cautioned, however, that removing an image from its search results doesn’t mean it’s entirely gone from the internet.
